According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), Vietnam's tourism search volume via Google's market trend tracking tool surged by 75% in 2023, ranking 6th globally.
Thailand secured the 10th spot, followed by Indonesia at 11th, Malaysia at 12th, and the Philippines at 14th. Keywords and phrases such as "Vietnam tours", "tours to Vietnam" and "Vietnam holiday tours" also grew significantly.
The top 10 countries with the highest number of tourism-related searches for Vietnam were the U.S., Australia, Japan, India, South Korea, Singapore, the U.K., Germany, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The most searched destinations included Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Hue, and Phan Thiet.
